Silent Valley Welcomes 175 Species and 17 New Species of Birds…

A bird review directed at the Silent Valley National Park somewhat recently of December recognized 141 species, of which 17 were new. Up until this point, 175 types of birds have been seen in Silent Valley .
The overview hung on December 27, 28 and 29 denoted the 30 th anniversary of the main bird review in Quiet Valley. Albeit the primary study was held somewhat recently of December 1990, the anniversary couldn’t be celebrated in 2020 December on account of Coronavirus limitations. Veteran birders like P.K. Uthaman and C. Sushant were the main individuals in the 7 th study group who had gone to the primary review held in 1990.

Upwards of 30 birders and timberland staff partook in the bird overview by remaining in seven camps inside the center region of the Silent Valley. Wildlife Warden S. Vinod said that one more bird study would before long be held in the cradle zone of the public park.
The review was held in relationship with the Kerala Normal History Society.

Earthy colored wood owl, Joined cove cuckoo, Malabar woodshrike, White-throated kingfisher, Indian nightjar, Jungle nightjar, and Huge cuckooshrike were among the 17 species recently distinguished in the Silent Valley.
Upwards of 139 birds had been distinguished in a review held in 2006, and the number species went up to 142 in the last overview held in 2014.
Birds, for example, Crimson-backed sunbird, Yellow-browed bulbul, Dark bulbul, Indian white-eye and Indian swiftlet were tracked down in overflow in silent Valley.
Silent Valley authorities said that few species endemic to high height regions were likewise recognized during the review. Among the birds they located were Nilgiri laughingthrush, Nilgiri flowerpecker, Brown-cheeked fulvetta, Dark and-orange flycatcher, Dim headed canary-flycatcher, Greenish lark, Normal chiffchaff, Tytler’s leaf songbird, Shaheen hawk, Nilgiri wood pigeon, and Malabar whistling thrush.
