Google released the Pixel 7 series after months of teasers that left little to the imagination. Over the years, Pixel phones have delivered a pure Android experience with a graphically sophisticated image that has set them apart from their competitors. But last year, Google jumped on the bandwagon to introduce the first custom chipset called Tensor. The second generation of this chip is called Tensor G2 and powers the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro borrow the design of their prequels but are more refined, while better features and specifications bring Google closer in its fight against Apple and Samsung.
The new Tensor G2 chip makes the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Google’s most powerful phones. Google has announced the Pixel 7 duo to be based on strong encryption standards, powered by the company’s Titan M2 chip.
SPECIFICATIONS:
The Google Pixel 7 has a 6.3-inch 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, while the more expensive Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED screen with a refresh rate from 10 to 120 Hz. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects both screens and supports the always-on display feature. The Pixel 7, which has a 4355 mAh battery, and the Pixel 7 Pro, which has a larger 5000 mAh battery, offer up to 72 hours of battery life in the new power saving mode. There’s both fast charging and wireless charging available on the Pixel 7 duo. The battery sharing feature allows the phone to charge other devices, such as the Pixel Buds.
PRICE:
The Pixel 7 will be available at $599, while the Pixel 7 Pro has a starting price of $899 in the US. After a long time, Pixel flagship phone will also be available in India. Pixel 7 costs Rs 59,999 and Pixel 7 Pro price in India is Rs 84,999.
PRO CAMERAS:
- The new Pixel 7 Duo can maintain true skin tones, so people with dark skin, such as people from South Asia and African countries, will get natural colors in photos. Google uses the Real Tone feature to ensure accurate color reproduction in Pixel photos.
- In the Pixel 7 Pro, you get three cameras, including a 50-megapixel Octa PD Quad Bayer wide lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide autofocus lens, and a 48-megapixel Quad Bayer PD telephoto lens. On the Pixel 7, there are only two cameras with a 50-megapixel Octa PD Quad Bayer wide lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, both phones have a fixed 10.8-megapixel camera. The latest iPhone 14 series, on the other hand, has an autofocus front camera.
- The Pixel 7 duo can zoom more than ever, with Google claiming it is the same quality as a DSLR.
- Google is also launching what it calls Cinematic Blur, which brings bokeh to video and photos depending on the subjects in it.
- The Pixel 7 Pro also has a Macro Focus mode, which the Pixel 7 lacks.
